MANILA - The country's top cop on Wednesday named three possible successors when he retires in November.

Philippine National Police chief, Police Gen. Oscar Albayalde said he agreed with Sen. Bato dela Rosa that the following candidates deserve the post: Metro Manila Police chief Guillermo Eleazar, PNP Directorial Staff chief Camilo Cascolan, and PNP Deputy chief for operations Archie Gamboa.

Albayalde said all three are capable of leading the PNP.

Should one of them be appointed as PNP chief, Eleazar will retire on Nov. 13, 2021, while Cascolan will retire on Nov. 10, 2020, and Gamboa on Sep. 2, 2020.
