Sara nagpahayag ng suporta sa mga programa kontra droga

MAYNILA — Tiniyak ni Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio na susuportahan niya ang pagpapatuloy ng mga programa at kampanya kontra sa ilegal na droga.

Sa kaniyang mensahe sa programa ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency sa Trece Martires City, Cavite, Huwebes ng umaga, nagpaabot ng pagbati si Duterte-Carpio sa mga ahensiyang namumuno sa drug war.

Sumentro ang programa sa pagsisira ng nasa P14.29 bilyon na halaga ng droga sa warehouse ng Integrated Waste Management Inc. Nasabat ang mga ito sa iba’t ibang operasyon ng ahensiya.

“I am confident that this activity symbolizes the fulfillment of duty and transparency as well as to serve as another stepping stone that will place this agency to greater heights in the succeeding years,” ayon sa mensahe ni Duterte-Carpio na binasa ni PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva.

Dagdag pa ng anak ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, dapat isulong pa ang mga programa kontra ilegal na droga.

“Together, let us further promote the safer environment to everyone through our constant support to various programs and campaigns of our law enforcers against drug abuse,” aniya.

Tiniyak din niya ang pakikiisa ng mga taga-Davao City sa mga hakbang para masugpo ang problema sa droga.

“As the country continues its anti-drug campaign, the city of Davao along with its citizens vow to accomplish and declare more drug-free communities to contribute to the effort of eradicating the use of illegal drugs nationwide,” aniya.

Si Duterte-Carpio ay papalitan ng kaniyang nakababatang kapatid na si Sebastian Duterte sa pagka-alkalde ng Davao City.

Samantala, bukas naman ang PDEA sa ano mang maitutulong pa ni Pangulong Duterte sa ahensiya kahit pa tapos na ang kaniyang termino.

Matatandaang napabalitang bukas ang Marcos administration na kuning “drug czar” ang outgoing president.

“Itong buong drug war was his idea eh. We just report to him how we will do it. But he can be a good consultant for the anti-drug campaign,” sabi ni Villanueva.

“The President is really the person who we can be our consultant, na puwede natin matanong in terms of criminality, terrorism, anti-drug campaign,” dagdag pa niya.
