<p>MANILA – Teachers of a public school in Cavite now use comfort rooms as a makeshift faculty area after their quarters were converted to classrooms days before the opening of classes.</p><p>Photos of an old toilet transformed into a teachers&#x27; room were <a href="https://www.facebook.com/ycel.herrera/posts/10211568042511786">uploaded</a> on Facebook by Maricel Herrera, faculty association president of Bacoor National High School.</p><p>She said teachers were informed on May 27, a week before the opening of classes, that their former faculty quarters would be used as classrooms.</p><p>The teachers were offered locations for their new faculty rooms, such as the library and principal&#x27;s office, but these were not close to the classrooms. This would have made it harder for them to carry their instructional materials, she said.</p><div><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></div><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/06/03/19/27-million-return-to-school-as-classroom-teacher-lack-persists" data-width="auto"> </div><p>The alternatives offered also do not have enough space to accommodate the 240 teachers of the school, she added.</p><p>She said they were left with no other viable choice but to turn the comfort rooms into a faculty area.</p><div><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></div><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10211568041951772&amp;set=pcb.10211568042511786&amp;type=3&amp;theater" data-width="auto"> </div><p>&quot;Magpapasukan na noong sinabi iyon.
