<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/overseas/06/09/jakatia-grave-060917.jpg?ext=.jpg"/></figure></div>The Philippine government has fulfilled the wishes of the family of Jakatia Pawa, the overseas Filipino worker (OFW) executed for murder in Kuwait.Hassan Jumdain, director of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Western Mindanao, said Pawa&#x27;s two children, accompanied by their aunt, flew to Kuwait on March 23 to visit their mother&#x27;s grave.They were accompanied by Jumdain with the support of OWWA and other government agencies.Pawa was buried in Sulayibikat, a public cemetery in Kuwait, Jumdain said. &quot;Napakalinis at napaka-ganda din ang pagka-ayos ng kanyang grave, true to the wish of relatives diyan sa Zamboanga &#x27;yung ang hiningi natin, so talagang inaayos ng ating embahada doon with the government of Kuwait itong grave ni Jakatia,&quot; Jumdain said.This was the first visit of Pawa&#x27;s children to their mother&#x27;s grave since she was executed in January. Pawa was sentenced to death after she was implicated in the murder of her employer&#x27;s 22-year old daughter in 2007.Jumdain said the children were emotional and sentimental when they saw their mother’s grave for the first time.The Pawas stayed for five days in Kuwait before they went back to Zamboanga City.Jumdain said the Philippine government has extended enough assistance to the Pawa family, especially to the late OFW’s children.Scholarship grants were offered to the kids for their college education, as well as a monthly allowance. Government has also provided financial assistance for the family.
