Like sa Bohol, 78 percent ng ekonomiya namin, services. Ang malaking chunk nun, nandoon talaga sa tourism. Kaya tourism talaga yung sa amin,” sabi ni Gov. Arthur Yap.</p><p>Sa panayam sa TeleRadyo Huwebes ng umaga, sinabi ni Yap na hindi nila hinihinging agad mabakunahan ang 1.3 milyong populasyon ng Bohol, o target na 700,000 katao.</p><p>“Ang hinihingi natin, 70,000 doses lang para lang sa Island of Panglao kasi nandoon yung dalawang municipality at nandoon din yung international airport. At majority ng rooms ng mga beaches, and hotels, and resorts nandoon din po. Mahirap,” sabi niya.</p><p>Sa 1.3 milyon populasyon ng Bohol, target nilang mabakunahan ang nasa 700,000 hanggang 800,000 na residente. Pero sa ngayon ay nasa 30,000 hanggang 40,000 pa lang aniya ang nababakunahan nila at karamihan dito ay medical frontliners.</p><p>Aminado si Yap na sobrang naapektuhan ang turismo ng Bohol sa kasalukuyang pandemya dulot ng COVID-19. Malaki rin ang tama sa kanilang turismo sa pagsipa ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa National Capital Region dahil karamihan ng kanilang mga biyahero, negosyante at turista ay nanggagaling ng Metro Manila.</p><p>“Kaya nga, ang hiningi namin dati, kung ganun na lang mangyayari, kung dependent kami sa NCR, we want to get an advance dose of vaccinations na maaga o maunahan na muna at, at least bigyan muna yung Panglao Island,” sabi niya.</p><p>Sakaling mapagbigyan, pwedeng tumutok ang lalawigan sa Panglao Island muna para muling mapagana at mapaunlad ang kanilang ekonomiya. Dahil nandoon din ang international airport, maaari rin umanong magbukas ng air-to-air, point-to-point destination mula Bohol papunta ng isa o dalawang siyudad sa mga bansang Japan, South Korea, China o Singapore.</p><p>‘Ipo-point-to-point natin, para lang mabuhay yung economy dahil nung panahon na wala pang COVID, nakapag-contribute kami ng P20 billion in terms of revenues. So there is a case to be made kung matulungan kami to get back on our feet. Yung lang naman hinihingi namin - to be allowed to operate again. Yun lang ang unahin natin, tapos pipila na tayo sa iba,” paliwanag niya.</p><p>Bago mag-pandemya, nasa 1.5 million aniya ang mga turistang bumibisita sa kanilang lalawigan. Pero wala pa umano sa 10 porsiyento nito ang bilang sa ngayon.</p><p>Hindi naman na kailangan pang mag-quarantine ang mga biyahero basta may maipakita silang 72-hour negative RT-PCR result at QR Code.<br/> <br/>“That’s the only thing we require. With that requirement, you can come to Bohol.
