The blasting of three boulders in the Bued River in Barangay Camp 7 in Baguio City was set Wednesday to divert the flow of the river and prevent flash floods on Kennon Road.
A team composed of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Office of the Civil Defense, the Philippine National Police and Philex Mining Corporation were set to lead the activity.
Kennon Road was temporarily closed to traffic from 12 noon until the blasting operation is completed.
Meanwhile, residents within a 100-meter radius of the blast area were evacuated.
