<p>MANILA<strong> (UPDATE)</strong> — Tropical depression Emong continues to move away from Batanes, PAGASA said Monday.</p><p>In its 11 p.m. weather advisory, PAGASA said Emong at 10 p.m. was over the coastal waters of Itbayat, Batanes packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and 70 kph gusts while moving west northwestward at 40 kph.</p><p>The tropical cyclone is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility Tuesday morning and make landfall over Fujian or Guangdong province in southeastern China.</p><ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/07/05/21/weather-emong-pagasa">Tropical depression Emong to intensify within 12 hours: PAGASA</a></li></ul><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2021/news/07/06/20210706-track_emong.jpg"/><figcaption><em>From PAGASA website</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>Tropical cyclone wind signal no. 1 remains hoisted over the following areas:</p><ul>	<li>Batanes</li>	<li>Babuyan Islands</li></ul><p>PAGASA said Emong will bring light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands Monday through early Tuesday morning.</p><p>&quot;Under these conditions and considering antecedent rainfall, isolated flash flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas with high or very high susceptibility to these hazards as identified in hazard maps.
