MANILA - A flood control project in Mandaluyong City, which has ironically caused flooding in the Maysilo Circle area for over two years, will be finished by September 30, Public Works Secretary Mark Villar said Friday.

The area was again submerged in up to waist-deep floods following overnight monsoon rains triggered by Typhoon "Butchoy."

Villar, who was inspecting the area, told ABS-CBN News he got an assurance from contractors that the project, which started in 2014, would be finished by the end of September.
