OVP to launch free ferry service for health workers, frontliners in Cebu

<p>MANILA - The Office of the Vice President and its partners will launch on Thursday, July 9, a free ferry service for health workers and other frontliners in Cebu.</p><p>The ferry service will take passengers from Olango island to Lapu-Lapu City, and vice versa, with two trips in the morning and another two in the afternoon.</p><div><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></div><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/VPLeniRobredoPH/photos/a.474968432620830/3007787819338866/?type=3&amp;theater" data-width="auto"> </div><p>In an interview on on RMN DYHP 612 Cebu Radio, Robredo thanked all their partners and volunteers helping in the cause.</p><p>Robredo&#x27;s office launched on Monday a free shuttle service spanning 3 routes for medical workers in Cebu City. </p><p>Her office also plans to set up 3 dormitories in Talisay, Mandaue and Fuente Osmeña, Cebu City this week. A similar dormitory in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City is already full. </p><p>Cebu City confirmed 5,126 cases of COVID-19 as of Saturday, according to the health department&#x27;s <a href="https://www.doh.gov.ph/covid19tracker">website</a>. </p>
