He also has four more security escorts from the AFP.)Escobal explained that having eight security escorts was a clear violation of the law, which prompted the PNP to no longer renew the letter order assigning police escorts to Trillanes.“Nag-expire lang talaga ang letter order niya and during the review, we found out na sumobra na sa required na security &#x27;yung naka-deploy kay Sen. Trillanes,&quot; he said.(His letter order just expired and during the review, we found out that he exceeded the required number of security escorts.)When the military temporarily recalled security escorts assigned to Trillanes, the police force also temporarily pulled out two police escorts assigned to the senator while verification was ongoing, Escobal said.Military spokesperson Col. Edgard Arevalo confirmed Thursday that the AFP recalled Trillanes&#x27; security detail from its Special Detail Unit on July 12. “Ni-recall namin yan temporarily for reason nga na expired na or nag-lapse na ang kanilang tour of duty,” Arevalo explained.(They were recalled temporarily because their tour of duty has lapsed.)Arevalo added that no security escorts from the military have been assigned to Trillanes since then.The military has also not received any request to reassign security escorts for Trillanes, Arevalo added. He, however, said he is not sure whether the Naval Intelligence and Security Force of the Philippine Navy has provided the senator with security escorts.
