How Manila is regaining its luster

<p>The city of Manila, once seen by many as crowded and dirty, is currently undergoing a massive transformation with the newly-elected Mayor Isko Moreno at its helm.</p><p>Mostly gone are the vendors who would peddle their wares in any available space, unmindful of the pedestrians who would have to either navigate through the tight spaces left by the vendors or risk getting run over by reckless jeepney drivers who offer no disregard for other road users.</p><p>Nowadays, people may pass by and even take photos of the Bonifacio shrine without having to wrinkle their nose at the stench of human waste. They can also go to Quiapo and Carriedo without having to worry about pickpockets.
