MANILA - Heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon and tropical storm &quot;Gorio&quot; caused flooding along a busy street in Manila Thursday, making it impassable to all vehicles.A photo of the flood on R. Papa Street, just below the LRT station, was posted by Caloocan Mayor Oscar Malapitan on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/MayorOscarocaMalapitan/photos/a.240946636074298.1073742017.190264451142517/860785820757040/?type=3&amp;theater">Facebook</a>.<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/news/07/27/bus-manila-072717.jpg?ext=.jpg"/></figure></div>The city&#x27;s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council told ABS-CBN News that the flood was caused by rains and high tide.The photo, authorities said, was taken at around 10:30 a.m. as the bus was passing through. The flood has yet to subside, as of posting.<a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/multimedia/photo/07/27/17/monsoon-floods-are-here">Floods</a> have also been reported in other parts of Metro Manila, based on MMDA monitoring.State weather bureau PAGASA earlier said Gorio, last spotted 615 km east of Tuguegarao City, continues to enhance the southwest monsoon (habagat).PAGASA also warned of possible floods in the Ilocos, Central Luzon, Cordillera, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol and Western Visayas regions.Classes on Thursday have already been cancelled due to bad weather, while several flights have been cancelled.Malacanang has also suspended work in all government offices in Metro Manila effective 1 p.m.Visit the <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/weather">ABS-CBN Weather Center</a> for the latest weather updates.
