<h3>Of those, 51 were deployed during SONA </h3><p>MANILA (<strong>2nd UPDATE</strong>) - Eighty-two fully vaccinated police officers in Quezon City have tested positive for COVID-19, majority of whom were deployed during President Rodrigo Duterte&#x27;s State of the Nation Address (SONA) last Monday, authorities said Wednesday. </p><p>In a statement, the Quezon City government said those who tested positive for the virus were based in Police Station 3 in Barangay Talipapa; Police Community Precinct 1 in Barangay Unang Sigaw; and Police Community Precinct 2 in Barangay Bahay Toro.</p><p>They are all asymptomatic and are fully-immunized from the virus, City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) Chief Dr. Rolando Cruz said. The positive test results were released Tuesday and Wednesday.</p><p>Quezon City Police District Director Police Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra said 51 of those who tested positive were deployed during the SONA.</p><p>Forty-one were detailed at the UP-Ayala Technohub and others were at the UP College of Human Kinetics on the said day. </p><p>Yarra said their swab test was made on July 23 or three days before the SONA. He said they were deployed despite their pending results since they are already fully vaccinated from COVID-19. </p><p>City authorities earlier said they were checking the deployment of the police officers, pointing out that if they were detailed for the SONA, it could be a violation of protocols since they were still waiting for their test results.</p><p>&quot;All persons awaiting results from swabbing must undergo mandatory quarantine and any violation of this protocol is subject to Republic Act No. 11332,&quot; the statement of the QC government said.</p><ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/06/16/21/fully-vaccinated-health-workers-tacloban-covid19-surge">Newly-vaccinated health workers among Tacloban&#x27;s fresh COVID-19 cases - mayor</a></li></ul><p>PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said he has ordered an investigation into the matter.</p><p>&quot;Kung may test ka at wala ka pang resulta, dapat pinagaralan natin kung kailangan ka ideploy,&quot; he told ABS-CBN&#x27;s Teleradyo Thursday.</p><p>(If you underwent the test and have yet to receive the result, your deployment should have been studied first.)</p><p>Forty-eight police officers were already admitted at the city&#x27;s HOPE quarantine facility as of Tuesday, the local government said. </p><p>The other 34, meanwhile, were to be transferred to the HOPE facility on Wednesday.</p><p>&quot;The CESU is currently investigating the communities near and around the precincts mentioned to determine if granular lockdowns are necessary given that the source and extent of infection have yet to be identified,&quot; the statement added.</p><ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/07/27/21/philippines-covid19-cases-update-july272021">PH confirms 7,186 add&#x27;l COVID-19 cases, highest in over a month</a></li></ul><p>Lt. Col. Cristine Tabdi, station commander of QC Police Station 3, said it would &quot;remain operational&quot; for reports and complaints, but the station would be restricted from the public temporarily. </p><p>&quot;Visitations are currently prohibited. She (Tabdi) vowed to investigate how this outbreak occurred in the station, which is under her direct supervision and jurisdiction,&quot; the statement read.</p><p>Mayor Joy Belmonte assured the public that the city is &quot;prepared&quot; in controlling COVID-19 infections.</p><p>&quot;We request the public not to panic, especially the communities in which the precincts where these police personnel were assigned.
