It’s not just writing about the Quill; the Quill guidelines teach you how to make the program successfully,&quot; said IABC President Kane Errol Choa.IABC Philippines is the first chapter of the association outside North America. The association is currently present in over 80 countries, with 15,500 communication professionals in its stead.Now on its 14th year, the prestigious annual Quill Awards is once again presented to honor excellent communications programs and tools.Bagging the top award in the Communication Management is Manila Water Company for their &quot;Lingap Para sa Katutubo: Satisfying the Thirst for Clean Water Supply in Boracay’s Ati Community&quot; program.Eon The Stakeholder Relations Groups received the Top Award in Communication Research Management for their 2014 Philippine Trust Index, which presented comprehensive data on insights and opinions on levels of trust in six key Philippine institutions.The Top Award for Communication Skills was given to Mommy Mundo for their #MomManifesto: Journey to Mindful Motherhood campaign that encouraged mothers to be mindful parents through online workshops and events.Colegio de San Juan de Letran meanwhile bagged two awards for their TV documentary “Sukat&quot; and “Send a Child to School” program.For the second year, Stratworks brought home the Agency of the Year Award with seven excellence awards.The University of Sto. Tomas was named the School of the Year with 14 excellence awards, and the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) the Company of the year with 11 excellence award.&quot;We’ve always believed that communication plays a vital role in ensuring that we are there, as far as the needs of the customers are concerned,&quot; Meralco Assistant Vice President Joe Zaldarriaga said.In today&#x27;s age of compressed libraries and encyclopedias in the Cloud, and messages and updates at the tip of our fingertips, the medium has definitely changed.And with the country moving into this age more and more each day, the IABC hopes to uphold the values of ethics and innovation to keep the country at the forefront of communication evolution.
