MANILA—Office hours at Manila City Hall ended at 5 p.m., but Mayor Isko Moreno’s work wasn’t over Thursday.At about 7 p.m., Moreno led a team of police officers, city-hall officials, and some photographers to Taft Avenue.Near the Green Archers’ home, at Sherwood Place, Moreno barged in the building with his team. He added that they can finish this process and resume business operations immediately.In the previous administration, business permits took 5 to 10 working days before they were completed, Levi Facundo, officer in charge at the Bureau of Permits said.Students were generally happy about the decision to close down bars, saying it addresses safety and security concerns among them.
