MANILA - Police revealed Tuesday they have yet to arrest the primary suspect in the brutal killing of Tania Camille Dee, a bank teller whose body was found in a shallow grave in the province in 2015.

Angeles police chief Senior Supt. Sidney Villaflor said they were still waiting for copies of the arrest warrant against Dee's estranged husband, Fidel Sheldon Arcenas.

Dee went missing on June 20, 2015 after allegedly dining with Arcenas at a restaurant in Angeles City.

After eight days, she was found dead at a house owned by the family of Arcenas' girlfriend, Angela Dychioco.

Dychioco later admitted to helping Arcenas bury Dee's body.

The Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 56 released a warrant of arrest for Arcenas in connection to parricide, as early as June 10, 2015, Villaflor said.

Pampanga's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), he said, received the warrant on July 8 of the same year.

But Villaflor said he was puzzled about why no copy of the warrant was sent to them.

The Angeles police has coordinated with the RTC for the release of the document. "Ang sabi po ay imi-mail na lang po sa amin," Villaflor said.

Aside from the arrest warrant on parricide, Arcenas also has a separate arrest order for an earlier case of attempted homicide.

Villaflor said they can arrest Arcenas for attempted homicide "anytime", but they do not know his whereabouts.

"Although ang warrant pa lang po namin ay attempted homicide, pinaigting po namin ang paghahanap doon sa suspek. Pinaikutan po namin iyung bahay niya, subalit magpa-hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa po siya nakikita roon pati sa mga ibang lugar na pwede niyang puntahan," he said.

He said Dychioco, who was charged with being an accessory to murder, also remains free after settling bail at the CIDG.
