MANILA - Local chief executives in Metro Manila are drawing new guidelines for the suspension of classes to keep students safe from floods and rains, Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista said Tuesday.

New guidelines on class suspensions will iron out coordination among local agencies, the state weather bureau, the education and public works departments, and other relevant agencies, Bautista told reporters at a meeting of the Metro Manila Council in Taguig.
