MANILA — Police released on Wednesday the artist sketch of the gunman in the killing of a businessman and his driver along EDSA in Mandaluyong City last February.

Motorcycle-riding gunmen shot and killed businessman Jose Luis Yulo, 62, and his driver Allan Nomer Santos while they were on board a van along EDSA-Reliance last Feb. 17.

In the sketch released by the Eastern Police District (EPD), the gunman was described as male, aged 40 to 45, and between 5'5" to 5'7" in height.

The gunman was also said to have black eyes and hair, dark complexion, and medium in built.

Lt. Col. Arnold Moleta, district chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, said a witness managed to follow the gunman after the shooting.

"Noong huminto somewhere in EDSA 'yong riding-in-tandem, nagkataon tinanggal ng backride ang helmet niya," said Moleta.

("When they stopped somewhere in EDSA, the riding-in-tandem, the backrider removed his helmet.")

EPD director Brig. Gen. Noli Bathan appealed to the public to report any knowledge about the gunman.

A special investigation task group was formed to probe the killing.

Prior to the shooting, Yulo faced several lawsuits and threats over bouncing checks.
