Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News/File" src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2023/tvpatrol/09/05/20230822-rice-prices-nepa-q-mart-mt7.jpg"/><figcaption>Tindahan ng bigas sa Mega Q-Mart sa Cubao, Quezon City, Agosto 22, 2023. <em>Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News/File</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MAYNILA — Hindi makasunod sa price ceiling sa bigas ang ilang retailers sa unang araw ng pagpapatupad nito ngayong Martes.<br/> <br/><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/09/01/23/marcos-jr-sets-p41-p45-price-ceilings-on-rice-nationwide">Inaprubahan</a> ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. nitong Agosto ang rekomendasyon ng Department of Agriculture (DA) at Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) na magpatupad ng P41 kada kilo na price cap sa regular milled rice, at P45 kada kilong price cap sa well-milled rice.</p><p>Ito&#x27;y bunsod ng patuloy na pagsipa ng retail price ng bigas sa merkado.</p><p>Pero sa Galas Public Market sa Quezon City, marami sa mga nagtitinda ang hindi pa sumusunod dito.</p><p>Si Gary Rosales na 27 taon nang nagtitinda ng bigas sa merkado, umaalma sa price cap. Hindi aniya kakayanin na ibaba pa ang presyo ng kaniyang panindang bigas lalo na’t naglalaro sa P49 hanggang P51 kada kilo ang kaniyang puhunan.</p><p>&quot;&#x27;Yun pong ating bigas na gusto ng pangulo na P41, hindi po kaya ng lahat ng retailer buong bansa. Dahil po ang pinagkukunan namin &#x27;yan ay supplier ng mga trader sila ang may hawak ng malaking suplay. Sila po ang nagdidikta ng aming presyo,&quot; paliwanag ni Rosales.</p><p>Ayon pa sa kaniya, may inalok na murang bigas pero P1 lang ang kanilang kikitain sa bawat kilong maibebenta nila.</p><p>&quot;Kinontak na po namin ang mga malalaking supplier, bibigyan kami 5 kaban per week. Sa presyong P2,000, P2050. Piso sa isang kilo, singkwenta sa isang kaban, marami kang tao, pasusuwelduhin, may renta at may plastic.
