Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div> MANILA - A paid advertisement from supposed members of the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association has announced the ostracism of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, but the opposition lawmaker doubts its the authenticity.Mindanao-based Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Inc.- Eagle Fraternal Chapter declared in a paid advertisement that they were ostracizing Trillanes, a PMA Marilag Class of 1995 member, and recommending his expulsion from the association.The group said Trillanes committed actions contrary to the PMA’s motto of courage, integrity, and loyalty, “thereby seriously damaging the honor and prestige of this revered institution.”<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/news/09/14/pmaaa-eagle-fraternal-chapter-ad.jpg?ext=.jpg"/></figure></div>But Trillanes said some of the signatories in the ad have come forward to say that they were not aware they were signing for such a declaration.“Ang sabi ng ibang pumirma dyan attendance sheet lang ang pinirmahan nila. Sa akin wala namang problema iyan whether totoong pinirmahan nila iyan o hindi. I respect their opinion pero there are unnecessarily exposing themselves in this political episode that I am having with this administration,” Trillanes told reporters on Thursday.Trillanes also clarified that the “Eagle Fraternal Chapter” is just a group of Davao-based PMA alumni but is not officially recognized by the PMAAA.Meanwhile, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the statement of the PMA alumni in the ad “reflects the overall sentiment of the military.”The group’s statement comes in the wake of President Rodrigo Duterte’s revocation of Trillanes’ amnesty.Trillanes has denied that his amnesty was void from the start, as the government seeks to revive the coup d’etat and rebellion cases against him in connection with the 2003 Oakwood mutiny and 2007 Manila Peninsula siege.
