Michael John Encina, layunin ng demolisyon na maging kaaya-aya at magkaroon ng environment-friendly marine ecosystem sa Cavite. </p><ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/09/07/21/denr-hit-over-plan-to-dismantle-manila-bay-fish-pens">&#x27;Calamity&#x27;: Fisherfolk, families protest planned demolition of Manila Bay fish pens, mussel farms</a></li></ul><p>Bahagi rin umano ang operasyon sa cleanup at rehabilitation program ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) sa Manila Bay, na tinututulan ng maraming mangingisda roon. </p><p>Kasama ang DENR, Philippine National Police Maritime Group, at mga local government units sa pagbaklas ng mga fish cages.</p><p>Ayon kay Encina, magpapatuloy ang demolisyon hanggang Biyernes.</p><p>Nitong Martes, sinabi ng DENR Calabarzon sa isang pahayag na nagsimula na rin silang magbaklas ng bamboo-made fish cages at mga kubo sa Bacoor, Cavite. </p><p>Nauna na ring sinabi ng Kawit local government na tinutukoy na nila ang mga aquaculture structures sa kanilang area, pati na rin ang legalidad nito, base sa pahayag ng DENR Calabarzon. </p><p>Hindi pa rin kasi nagkusang mag-demolish ng sapra o malalaking fish pen ang ilang operator sa Cavite City at Kawit. </p><p>Sabi ni DENR Calabarzon Executive Director Nilo Tamoria, layunin kasi ng demolition at clearing operations ang Class SB para sa water quality ng Manila Bay, kung saan may mga aktibidad na ecotourism, water sports, at fishery activities tulad ng pagpaparami sa tahong at mga isda.</p><p>“Sa SB level ng kalidad ng tubig, bawal talaga ang mga aquaculture structures liban sa propagation ng shellfish o ng mga tahong, at spawning ground ng mga semilya ng isda sa mangrove area,” ani Tamoria. </p><p>Base sa report ng Bacoor, ayon sa DENR, 202 na sa 351 na tahong operators ang nabigyan ng permit ng City Agriculture Office. </p><p>&quot;The said operators were also instructed to trim the old bamboo stakes to the lowest level of the tide to prevent it from breaking, while the long-line technology adopters in Barangay Talaba 2 were discouraged to use styrofoams as floaters to their long line as the said material eventually pulverizes, which could cause the death of marine animals when they eat it,&quot; ayon sa pahayag ng DENR. </p><p>Tinututulan ng mga mangingisda ang fish pen demolition dahil sa pagkawala umano ng kanilang kabuhayan. </p><p>Inanunsyo ni Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu ang pagbaklas sa mga fish pen sa Manila Bay nitong Hulyo nang mapadpad ang mga bamboo poles sa tabing dagat matapos ang mga nagdaang bagyo at habagat. </p><div><strong>BALIKAN</strong></div><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe allow="autoplay; fullscreen" frameBorder="0" height="100%" id="ivsplayer01" scrolling="no" src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/html/iframe-src.html?iframeid=ivsplayer01&amp;key=e8c22c015ca9eafa76f1e3edfa03c603&amp;spid=3001339&amp;vid=1775574" width="100%"></iframe></figure><div class="iwantbar">Watch more in <a href="//www.iwantv.com.ph/">iWantv</a> or <a href="//tfc.tv/">TFC.tv</a></div>
