Meralco says no problem with own facility, outage was due to NAIA ‘loadside’ issue

Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News/file" src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2022/news/01/03/01032022-covid-airport-travellers.jpg"/><figcaption>Passengers queue at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3. <em>Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News/file</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA — Meralco on Sunday confirmed that problems in the loadside facility of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 caused the outage there on Friday evening.</p><p>In a statement, Meralco VP and Head of Corporate Communications Joe Zaldarriaga said the power distributor&#x27;s facilities inside the airport were working properly.</p><p>&quot;Batay sa resulta ng imbestigasyon, walang naging problema sa Meralco facilities at nakumpirmang loadside facility ng terminal ang nagkaisyu,&quot; Zaldarriaga said.</p><p>(Based on the results of our investigation, there were no problems experienced in the Meralco facilities.
