BAGUIO CITY - The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) cadet who died after vomiting inside the barracks in Fort Del Pilar here suffered cardiac arrest, police said.

"According sa physician, he died due to cardiac arrest secondary to internal hemorrhage," said Pol. Col. Allen Rae Co, director of Baguio City Police on Thursday.

Officials earlier said Darwin Dormitorio, 20, was complaining of stomach pain and was immediately brought to the hospital for treatment on Wednesday.

Co said they will further investigate the incident.

"We will look into yung criminal liability kung meron ngang nangyari na 'di maganda and we will get into the actual cause of his death and what caused the internal hemorrhage," Co said.

PMA said the cadet's family from Cagayan de Oro has arrived here to mourn and has requested for privacy.
