MAYNILA - Nagbitiw na sa puwesto ang administrator ng Philippine Military Academy na si Lt. Gen Ronnie Evangelista bilang "command responsibility" sa nangyaring hazing sa campus na ikinamatay ng isang kadete.

Ayon kay Evangelista nitong Martes, nakapagbigay na siya ng resignation letter kay Armed Forces chief of staff General Benjamin Madrigal Jr.

"In the military tradition of command responsibility, it is now the proper time for me as the head of institution together with the commander of cadets to relinquish our respective positions," aniya.

Pumanaw ang freshman cadet na si Darwin Dormitorio matapos makaranas ng pagsusuka at pananakit ng tiyan - na inuugnay sa hazing rites.

Natukoy ng mga awtoridad ang tatlong suspek, dalawang persons of interest, at 9 testigo sa pagkamatay ni Dormitorio.

Sinibak na rin ang apat na kadete ng PMA na may kaugnayan umano sa pagkamatay ni Dormitorio.

Kinilala ito bilang sina 3CL Shalinor Imperial, 3CL Felix Lumbag, 1CL Axl Rey Sanupaw, at 2CL Nickoel Termil.

Sina Lumbag at Imperial ang sinasabing direktang may kinalaman sa nangyari kay Dormitorio.

Sinuspinde naman si 1CL Irvin Sayod at Elbert Lucas. Ilalagay naman sa special confinement si 1CL Christian Correa.

Ni-relieve din ang pinuno ng Fort Del Pilar Station Hospital na si Lt. Col. Almer Cesar Candelaria.
