Swede, 3 Pinoys arrested for Isulan public market blast

MANILA - Authorities have arrested 4 suspects, including a Swede, for the bombing of a public market in Isulan town, Sultan Kudarat last September 7.The suspects -- identified as Swedish national Hassan Akgun and Filipinos Abedin Camsa, Normia Camsa and Norshiya Camsa -- were nabbed Monday in Barangay Kapaya in Bagumbayan town, Sultan Kudarat, the military said. Authorities seized an M16 rifle, a Colt .45 pistol, a caliber .38 revolver, a shotgun, 13 cellphones, and an improvised explosive device (IED) from the suspects. Alleged materials for a bomb such as 2 gallons of powder, 2 machine timers, 4 9-volt batteries, a yellow bulb, 3 LED bulbs, a switch, a resistor, and 5 assorted wires were also confiscated.A backpack containing an Islamic State flag was also recovered.“Let us remain vigilant for there are still enemies out there who will always try to inflict havoc in the communities,” said Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, chief of the military&#x27;s Western Mindanao Command.
