Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has undergone booking procedures at the Makati police headquarters Tuesday after a Makati regional trial court issued a warrant for his arrest over the 2007 Manila Peninsula siege.

Director Guillermo Eleazar, National Capital Region Police Office chief, said the booking procedures including the taking of mug shots are necessary so that Trillanes can post bail. He said he will accompany Trillanes to the Makati RTC for the posting of bail.

"I was tasked by Philippine National Police Chief Oscar Albayalde to supervise and oversee this to make sure that nothing untoward happens," he told radio DZMM.
