Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA — Malacañang is confident that the Department of Health is in control of the Philippine public health situation despite a series of disease outbreaks in the country.Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo assured the public Thursday that the government has vaccination programs following a spike in diseases that can be prevented with immunization such as polio, dengue, and measles.“The situation is under control. Mayroon tayong mga programa sa vaccination all over, kahit sa mga barangay mayroon,” he told reporters at Malacañang.(We have vaccination programs even in the villages.)In 2019 alone, the Philippines has seen outbreaks of measles, dengue, and most recently polio.
