<p>Filipinos across the country Wednesday joined the third wave of earthquake drills by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).</p><p>This is in preparation for &quot;The Big One,&quot; a 7.2-magnitude quake likely to hit the country and cause widespread destruction. A similar simulation was done in <a href="http://http://news.abs-cbn.com/video/nation/metro-manila/06/22/16/mmda-leads-2nd-metro-wide-quake-drill">Metro Manila</a> and in <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/nation/regions/06/22/16/provinces-participate-in-nationwide-quake-drills">provinces</a> in June this year.</p><div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/news-special1/nation/9/28/photo-1-092816.jpg"/><figcaption><div class="embed-desc"><em>Photo by Denis Agcaoili‎, ABS-CBN News </em></div></figcaption></figure></div><p>Laoag City Hall employees were joined by several groups, including the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), during their earthquake and fire drills. </p><p>BFP were five minutes late due to miscommunication.
