Ang sense ng mga commissioners natin at ng mga opisyal ng Comelec, kailangan pagbigyan &#x27;yung clamor ng taumbayan... So there’s reason to be optimistic,&quot; sabi ni Comelec spokesman James Jimenez.</p><p>Sabi naman ni Sen. Imee Marcos, chairman ng Senate suffrage panel, kasado na ang extension hanggang Oct. 31, ayon mismo sa impormasyong sinabi sa kanya ng opisyal ng Comelec.</p><p>&quot;Director Teopisto Elnas Jr. has just called me to inform us that the commissioners will pass a resolution tomorrow extending the registration to October 31,&quot; sabi ni Marcos.</p><p>Matatandaang pasado na sa Senado at Kamara ang panukalang batas para sa isang buwang pagpapalawig.</p><p>Pero sakaling aprub nga ang extension, hindi naman na mauurong ang schedule ng paghahain ng certificates of candidacy ng mga kakandidato sa halalan mula Oktubre 1 hanggang 8.</p><p>Ibig sabihin, maaaring gugulong pa lang ang 1 buwang extension matapos nito.</p><p>Iaanunsiyo ng Comelec en banc ang desisyon nila sa Miyerkoles. </p><div><strong>—Ulat ni Ina Reformina, ABS-CBN News </strong></div>
