Mitch Lipa, ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div> Members of the Provincial African Swine Fever (ASF) Task Force intercepted a refrigerated van containing 596 kilos of assorted pork products from Manila at BREDCO Port in Bacolod City Monday afternoon.Dr. Ryan Janoya, head of the Quarantine Division of the Provincial Veterinary Office, said a big fast food chain was the supposed recipient of the shipment of burgers, bacon, choice cuts and other pork products amounting to around P250,000.After the documentation, the task force sealed the container and recommended to ship it back to its port of origin.The move is a result of the intensive monitoring of the members of the task force since the province is still under a 90-day ban on pork meat products from Luzon, where the hog disease has struck in several areas. The ban was enforced to avoid the entry of meat products from areas identified with positive cases of ASF.Since the ban was implemented on Sept. 8, a total of 1,874 kilos of assorted meat products have been intercepted in both airports and seaports in Bacolod City.
