Gozon was the chairman of the board while Prieto was president of the defunct INQ7 Interactive Inc, &quot;a domestic corporation primarily engaged in internet publishing,&quot; noted the BIR. &quot;Together with its responsible corporate officer, it (INQ7) is being sued for a total tax deficiency tax liability for taxable year 2006 amounting to P23,479,467.13, inclusive of increments,&quot; the agency said in a statement.The company closed down in 2006 after Inquirer and GMA ended their partnership. Gozon remains the chairman and CEO of media network GMA while Prieto is the president of Philippine Daily Inquirer&#x27;s news website, INQUIRER.net In a report on GMA News, Gozon denied any involvement in the operations of INQ7.&quot;As Chairman of INQ7, he only presided the meetings of the Board and had no involvement or participation in the operations of the company. Gozon resigned from INQ7 in 2017,&quot; the report quoted Gozon as saying.&quot;Atty. Gozon has yet to receive a copy of the complaint. He is ready to answer whatever charges as soon as he receives it,&quot; the report added. ABS-CBN News has also reached out to Prieto.INQ7 was among 11 corporations charged Thursday for failing to pay a total of P611 million in taxes from 2005 to 2013, the BIR said. Ski Construction Group, one of the respondents, was sued for P467.25 million, said the agency. Also among the respondents are Prestige Cars Makati Inc, Lucky Charm Pub and Restaurant Corp, Underground Logic Inc, JP Med Asian Pacific Inc, Information Products Corp, Tridem Asia Publishing Inc, Integrated Dynamic Service Inc, Calcarries International Inc, and Eurobrokers International Inc. &quot;The respondents&#x27; failure and continued refusal to file or pay their long overdue deficiency taxes, despite repeated demands, constitute willful failure to file or pay the taxes due to government,&quot; said the BIR. <div>With a report from Johnson Manabat, ABS-CBN News </div>
