But the moment we start the partial ops on Monday and Tuesday, we estimate that the financial losses would go down around P1.5 million daily,&quot; Hernando Cabrera, spokesperson of Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), told ANC Friday.LRTA closed the 3 stations for 9 months after fire hit one of the transit line&#x27;s power transformers Thursday. It halted its operations, forcing thousands of passengers to find alternative modes of transport in an already congested metropolis. Cabrera said repairs would take long because parts needed are located overseas.&quot;Most of the major components of the damaged system come from abroad, specifically the UK, France and Japan. We have to follow some procurement process, though we have already initiated what we can an emergency procurement procedure,&quot; said Cabrera. &quot;We have to take into consideration the fact that the items that we would be requiring are not off-the-shelf items. They will have to be customized for our system. So this will take time,&quot; he added.Public relations manager Lyn Janeo said operations at stations from Cubao to Recto and vice versa may resume next week. Cabrera said passengers who usually ride from the closed stations will ride buses which the LRTA procured to drop them at the Cubao stop.
