Kitty Duterte contracts dengue

MANILA — The youngest daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte is confined in a Davao hospital after contracting dengue.

Veronica “Kitty” Duterte has contracted the mosquito-borne disease, a source confirmed to ABS-CBN News.

Duterte’s common-law wife, Honeylet Avanceña is also cutting short her Germany trip to be with their daughter, another source said.

The President was reported Sunday to be rushing home to see Kitty after a week-long trip to Russia.

Kitty is among the thousands of Filipino students inoculated with the controversial anti-dengue vaccine Dengvaxia.
