MANILA (2nd UPDATE) - House Majority Leader Rolando Andaya is facing a complaint for his alleged failure to completely declare his wealth in his statements of assets, liabilities, and net worth (SALN) for several years.The Truth and Justice Coalition, led by Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission Commissioner Greco Belgica, filed the complaint against Andaya before the Office of the Ombudsman on Tuesday morning.&quot;Marami siyang hindi na-declare na baril, mga sasakyan, mga properties, lahat po &#x27;yun. We saw na hindi na-declare na maayos,” Belgica said, referring to Andaya&#x27;s SALN for 2016 and 2017.(He didn&#x27;t declare a lot of things like guns, cars, properties—all of that. We saw that he did not declare them properly.)Among the laws Andaya supposedly violated were the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, and the Revised Penal Code, allegedly committing perjury and falsification.He is also facing administrative complaints of serious dishonesty and grave misconduct.In the complaint, the group noted that Andaya&#x27;s SALN for 2016 was the same for 2017 and that he failed to register properties that were easily verifiable with government agencies such as the Land Transportation Office, the Land Registration Authority and the Firearms and Explosives Office of the Philippine National Police.Andaya&#x27;s net worth is P45.65 million according to his SALN but Belgica alleged that 9 properties registered under the name of Andaya and his wife Marissa Lourdes in the database of the LRA were not included.The complaint also alleged that the total value of the couple&#x27;s vehicles was estimated at P12.545 million, as opposed to the declared amount of P2 million.An estimated P4.96 million worth of firearms, including high-powered ones, were also allegedly not included in the SALNs.<div>&#x27;HATCHET JOB&#x27; </div>Andaya, for his part, said the complaint was part of &quot;an expensive hatchet job&quot; connected with his desire to run for governor of Camarines Sur. &quot;In a bid to keep their stronghold on the province, my enemies are resorting to tactics most foul because the most recent surveys show that I will beat their candidate, despite the private and public resources at their disposal,&quot; he said in a statement. He also lamented that Belgica failed to ask for his side on the issue. &quot;I would have gladly provided him with the facts,&quot; he said. &quot;If Mr. Belgica wants to be impartial and fair, I would suggest that he conduct the same investigation into the SALN of my political opponents,&quot; he said. Belgica said his camp is not singling out any political party or affiliation in filing the complaint. He insisted that Andaya is only the first in a long list of officials being investigated by their coalition.He said the list, which includes mayors, senators, and former cabinet secretaries, is based on complaints they have received from ordinary people.&quot;Wala po kaming pakialam kung sino mauna dito. Ang mali, mali,&quot; Belgica said, adding that their complaints are in line with the call of President Rodrigo Duterte to go after corrupt officials.(We don&#x27;t care who goes first here.
