<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/news/10/10/meeting.jpg"/></figure></div><p>MANILA <strong>(UPDATED) </strong>- Mayors from Metro Manila have agreed to suspend classes in all levels on November 16 and 17 due to the 31st ASEAN Summit.</p><p>There will be no classes in private and public schools, as decided by the Metro Manila Council.</p><p>The suspension of government work in Metro Manila, meanwhile, will come from Malacañang, the council clarified.</p><p>Philippines will host various ASEAN activities and meetings, which are scheduled to take place from November 10 to 14 in Clark, Pampanga.</p><figure class="op-interactive"><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CYZpZLtWErE" width="560"></iframe></figure><p>The 31st ASEAN summit is expected to gather top officials of Southeast Asia and its partner countries, including US President Donald Trump, who is set to tackle trade issues and the North Korean nuclear threat, according to the White House.</p><p>Meanwhile, there&#x27;s no word yet from the Palace if November 13, 14, and 15 will be declared non-working holidays in NCR and in other parts of the country.</p><p>NCRPO chief, Oscar Albayalde said they will be deploying 19,000 cops to secure the event.
