MANILA — Congestion in the South Luzon Expressway will ease in December after authorities remove heavy equipment and road obstructions being used in the ongoing Skyway extension project, its manager said Thursday.

Authorities recently implemented a one-way traffic scheme in SLEx's East Service Road to have more space for the Skyway extension and speed it up, said Skyway O&M Corporation (SOMCO) president Manuel Bonoan.

"The purpose of that is magkaroon kami ng kaunting space pa para mabilisan namin iyong ginagawa namin d'yan sa portion ng Skyway, para matapos namin ito lahat by end of November, wala na tayong sagabal sa December," he told radio DZMM.
