Leila de Lima on Tuesday said she remains confined at the Philippine National Police General Hospital over “lingering chest pain” after being held hostage last Sunday. </p><ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/video/news/10/10/22/de-lima-survives-hostage-taking-in-camp-crame">De Lima survives hostage-taking by fellow inmate in Camp Crame</a></li></ul><p>“I&#x27;m now confined at the PNPGH for further monitoring and tests due to lingering chest pains as a result of the constant pressing by the hostage-taker of the sharp weapon on my chest just beside the heart,” De Lima said in a statement. </p><p>The 63-year-old former senator added that she has tested negative for COVID-19 following her exposure to Interior Sec. Rodolfo Azurin, Jr. said de Lima has been allowed to stay at the PNP hospital so her health can continuously be monitored. Once cleared, she will be brought back to the custodial center although in a new cell already.</p><p>In June, she underwent a major surgery at the Manila Doctors Hospital after she was diagnosed with Pelvic Organ Prolapse Stage 3.</p><ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/06/26/22/de-lima-discharged-from-hospital-after-major-surgery">De Lima discharged from hospital after major surgery</a></li></ul><p>De Lima thanked those who prayed for her well-being. </p><p>“Thank you, all, for the prayers. Salamat po at hindi nyo ako pinapabayaan,” she said in her recent statement.</p><div><strong>&#x27;GOD WAS WITH ME&#x27; </strong></div><p>In her latest &quot;dispatch&quot; from Camp Crame, De Lima shared &quot;spiritual gems&quot; she picked up from Bishop Soc Villegas, who presided a mass in the hospital halls earlier Tuesday. </p><blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p dir="ltr" lang="tl">Hindi natutulog ang Diyos. As always, Bishop Soc’s words were simple yet beautiful and intensely profound, piercing through the listeners’ hearts,&quot; De Lima said.</p><p>She shared her conversation with Villegas and recalled how she surrendered to the will of God during her &quot;near-death experience.&quot;</p><p>&quot;After the Mass, I recounted to Bishop Soc the incident, telling him that God was definitely with me in that near-death experience, kept me mentally alert and strong, and saved my life... Told him also that after I prayed, &#x27;Lord, bahala na po kayo…&#x27; at that very moment when I thought my time in this world is up, He took over,&quot; De Lima said. </p><p>&quot;Hindi talaga natutulog ang Diyos. At mahal Niya ako.
