<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2017/news/10/11/odette.gif"/></figure></div>MANILA - A low pressure area earlier sighted near Eastern Samar has intensified into a tropical depression, state weather bureau PAGASA said Wednesday night.PAGASA named the tropical depression &quot;Odette,&quot; and is the 15th cyclone to hit the Philippines this year.Storm signal number 1 has been hoisted over the provinces of Cagayan and Isabela, according to PAGASA.The Babuyan group of islands, Apayao, Kalinga and Mountain Province may also be placed under storm signal number 1 by Thursday morning.In its 11 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said Odette was packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kph and gustiness of up to 60 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at a speed of 26 kph.Odette may bring moderate to occasionally heavy rains within its 300-kilometer diameter.The center of Odette was estimated at 925 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan at 10 p.m.It is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Saturday night.
