MANILA (UPDATE) - From politician to businesswoman?Former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile&#x27;s certificate of candidacy (COC) had &quot;businesswoman&quot; as his occupation, a copy obtained by ABS-CBN News showed.<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/news/10/16/coc-enrile_1.jpg?ext=.jpg"/><figcaption>Former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile&#x27;s certificate of candidacy for senator. Katrina Domingo, ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div>The 94-year-old Enrile was not around when his COC for senator was filed Tuesday, and was represented instead by his lawyer Joseph Sagandoy.The person who filled up Enrile&#x27;s COC apparently thought the question on the candidate&#x27;s profession or occupation refers to the candidate&#x27;s wife, in this case, Cristina Ponce Enrile. The Enriles have interests in real estate and other ventures. Enrile’s camp offered no explanation for the mistake, but Comelec officials said the lawyer went back to the poll office to correct the mistake minutes after it went viral on social media.Enrile’s representative went back, placed correction fluid on some letters, and counter-signed it to correct the mistake, said a Comelec official who refused to be named.“In general, changes can be allowed until October 18, the last day of filing,” Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez told reporters.“If it’s a minor thing like that, that was allowed to be corrected. Kung malaki-laking error, it would require a different treatment,” he said.Enrile earlier said he would run as an independent candidate but would welcome the endorsement of President Rodrigo Duterte.He said winning in next year&#x27;s elections would help him have a platform for his ideas.“During the last three years that I was out of the Senate, I confined myself at home and studied our national condition...,&quot; he said.Enrile is the oldest to seek a national elective post since the Commission on Elections opened applications last week.“I am not going to wrestle with anybody physically [in the Senate], I am going to wrestle mentally,” Enrile said.<ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/10/16/18/at-94-enrile-seeks-senate-comeback">At 94, Enrile seeks Senate comeback</a></li></ul>
