How can you get that training, is it through schooling?&quot; he told ANC. </p><p>Magno added that there&#x27;s no excuse for aspiring lawmakers to not have any degrees because there is already a Free Tuition Act that supposedly makes education accessible to the masses.</p><p>&quot;What&#x27;s the reason for the future generation of leaders not to go to school? If we talk about formal schooling, there&#x27;s an equivalent platform... It&#x27;s about time because if you&#x27;re in college, you exercise leadership at the same time,&quot; he said.</p><p>Some politicians who made it to Congress without college degrees are former senators Joseph Estrada, Lito Lapid, and Ramon &quot;Bong&quot; Revilla Jr. </p><p>President Rodrigo Duterte&#x27;s charter change committee had proposed requiring a college degree for senators in their draft federal constitution. </p><p>But some lawmakers like Anakpawis&#x27; Ariel Casilao had earlier said this &quot;anti-democratic&quot; proposal will dissuade the poor from becoming nation&#x27;s leaders.</p>
