Cotabato was rocked by several strong earthquakes since October 16, including a 6.3-magnitude tremor that struck Tulunan town. The Philippines straddles the Pacific &quot;Ring of Fire,&quot; an arc of intense seismic activity that stretches from Japan through Southeast Asia and across the Pacific basin. The archipelago tallies about 20 earthquakes a day, Phivolcs earlier said.
