The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on Thursday reminded employers that the law on 13th month pay covers house helpers and workers of small businesses.

Workers, regardless of rank or nature of employment, are entitled to receive a full month's basic pay every year as 13th month pay on or before December 24, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello explained.

Workers who fail to receive their 13th month pay should file a complaint with DOLE regional offices, he said.
