MANILA (UPDATE) - Classes from preschool to senior high school for both private and public schools are suspended in Iloilo City on Thursday, November 7, 2019.Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas announced the development after the local disaster office recommended the suspension of classes due to projected heavy rains.Cagayan State University also suspended classes in all levels in its three campuses in the towns of Mira, Piat, and Lasam.PAGASA on Wednesday said weather disturbance Quiel may intensify into a severe tropical storm within 24 hours.
