The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) revealed Thursday that it took less than two days to secure a search warrant from a court in Samar and serve it to Albuera Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. in his prison cell in Leyte.

Here's a rundown of the sequence of events that led to killing of the Espinosa and inmate Raul Yap after they allegedly fired at police.

NOVEMBER 4

8 AM - Team proceeded to Basey Samar for application of search warrant

10 AM - Witnesses were interviewed by the presiding judge

1 PM - Team was issued search warrants 2016-11-19 and 2016-11-20

5:30 PM - Northern Leyte CIDG arrived at the regional office of the CIDG 8

6PM - Team met with regional officials of CIDG-8


NOVEMBER 5

12:30 AM - Briefing was conducted at the CIDG canteen

1:45 AM - Team proceeded to Baybay, Leyte

2:51 AM - Pre-jump off reports were sent to officials

3:30 AM - Final briefing for CIDG-8 Raiding Team was conducted at Baybay Bypass Road

3:43 AM - Coordination form was received by Baybay CPS

4:05 AM - PDEA received coordination form

4:10 AM - Team arrived at Baybay Provincial Jail

4:30 AM - CIDG entered jail

5:58 AM - SOCO arrived at the sub provincial jail

9:40 AM - Processing of Espinosa's cell was finished

9:50 AM - Espinosa's body was removed from cell, search begins

10:30 AM - Marking of evidence from Espinosa's cell finished

10: 40 AM - Processing of Yap's cell was finished

11:45 AM - Marking of evidence from Yap's cell finished
