Public Attorney&#x27;s Office (PAO) chief Persida Acosta said on Thursday she gave <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/11/17/16/persida-acosta-defends-self-after-comment-on-cheating-wives" target="_blank">&quot;excellent&quot; answers</a> during her interview with the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) despite being advised by a panel member to &quot;read more.&quot;Retired Associate Justice Angelina Sandoval-Gutierrez told Acosta to &quot;read more&quot; after she failed to answer questions about the high court&#x27;s landmark rulings involving former presidents Ferdinand Marcos and Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.&quot;I feel I gave excellent answers with the observance of humility. Kulang lang ang opportunities to expound but my answers were excellent,&quot; Acosta told ABS-CBN News.She admitted that she has yet to read the Supreme Court&#x27;s <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/focus/11/08/16/read-sc-media-briefer-on-marcos-burial-decision" target="_blank">full decision</a> on the burial of ex-President Marcos as she was not &quot;copy-furnished&quot; with the document.&quot;Nung presscon ni [SC spokesperson] Theodore Te, pati nga media walang kopya e kasi icicircularize pa yung kopya. Ang mga media nga hirap na hirap magkaroon ng kopya, how much more of me when I&#x27;m not a lawyer in the case?&quot; Acosta said.As for the Gutierrez&#x27;s questions about the landmark rulings that involved cases of ex-President Arroyo and former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, Acosta said she deliberately refrained from commenting on the issue.&quot;It is unethical on my part to interfere or to give any opinion on cases which I do not handle,&quot; Acosta said.Despite being grilled by Gutierrez, the PAO chief said she was not offended by the former magistrate&#x27;s advice to read up on the high court&#x27;s ruling &quot;in case she is nominated and luckily appointed&quot; as an associate justice of the SC.&quot;She&#x27;s an older woman. She&#x27;s a retired justice. I could not argue with that,&quot; Acosta said.&quot;Totoo bang hindi ako nagbabasa e wide reader ako,&quot; she added.
