Two days after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered authorities to go after people using vaping devices in public, Central Visayas police have confiscated more than 200 vaping devices and e-cigarettes.

Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon, Central Visayas police director, said this is their heed to the call of the President.

However, he clarified that they did not arrest vapers and instead just confiscated the devices.

“In case may directives na sa higher ops, then we can go after them kasi may info naman tayo about them,” said De Leon.

De Leon said he plans to go to vape shops and explain to them that they should lead in educating their customers.
