'China ang trespasser': Pilipinas walang balak umalis sa Ayungin shoal

China should abide by its international obligations that it is part of,&quot; ani Lorenzana.</p><p>Ang UNCLOS ay ang United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, isang internasyonal na tratadong napirmahan noong 1982 sa pagitan ng mga bansa. </p><p>Iginiit din ni Lorenzana na walang pakialam ang China sa mga ginagawa ng bansa dahil na rin sa arbitral award noong 2016.</p><p>&quot;Furthermore, the 2016 arbitral award ruled that the territorial claim of China has no historic nor legal basis. Ergo, we can do whatever we want there and it is they who are actually trespassing.&quot;</p><p>Nauna nang umalma ang Pilipinas sa pagharang at pagbobomba ng tubig ng Chinese coast guard noong isang linggo sa mga supply ship ng Pilipinas papuntang Ayungin shoal.</p><p>Payo ni maritime law expert Jay Batongbacal sa puwersa ng Pilipinas, maging mapagmatyag dahil maaari umanong samantalahin ng China ang pagkakataon bago ang halalan para palawakin ang kontrol sa dagat gaya ng tangka nitong magtayo ng artipisyal na isla sa Scarborough shoal noong 2016.</p><div><strong>—Ulat ni Willard Cheng, ABS-CBN News</strong></div>
