MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday said an investigation is underway into the alleged dealings of the parents of his staunch critic, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.“We are investigating &#x27;yung mga deals sa panahon ng tatay pati nanay niya. You can be very sure na lalabas lahat &#x27;yan,” said Duterte, referring to Trillanes in a speech during the groundbreaking of the Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project.Duterte had alleged that Trillanes’ 84-year-old mother Estelita was a supplier for the Philippine Navy, in a potential case of conflict of interest due to his status as then Navy officer.Trillanes has denied Duterte’s allegations and noted that his mother was suffering from advanced Parkinson’s Disease. He added there were no cases filed against his mother.Trillanes has called Duterte&#x27;s allegations against his mother a &quot;low blow.&quot;The senator’s father, meanwhile, died in 1998.Trillanes has been the toughest critic of the President, and the government has made no secret of its desire to have the opposition senator sent back to jail through the revival of his rebellion and coup d&#x27;état charges.
