Man killed while urinating in Ilocos Norte

ILOCOS NORTE- A 32-year-old man was shot dead while urinating along Batac-Paoay Road in Paoay, Ilocos Norte on Saturday.

The victim was identified as Dominador Castillo who suffered a gunshot wound on his cheek.

Investigation disclosed that Castillo was urinating when a gunman approached and shot him.

Senior Inspector Allan Dauz said the victim was a driver of a delivery van and felt the need to urinate at the side of the road.

An unidentified gunman then approached Castillo and asked whether he knew Albert Rambaud, the victim's employer.

Dauz said when the victim replied yes, the suspect suddenly fired a gun killing Castillo.

Meanwhile, the victim's helper Jayson Campus, 22, who was inside the deliver van was also shot on the abdomen but managed to escape.

Authorities are confident that the motive is due to business.
