2 De La Salle students killed in STAR Tollway road mishap

MANILA - (UPDATED) Two students and a driver were killed after a private school transport service vehicle turned turtle in STAR Tollway near Lipa City, Batangas on Monday morning.Two of the fatalities were students of Senior High School of De La Salle Lipa, while the other one was the driver-owner of the vehicle.The others involved in the incident are also students of the school, as well as two faculty members and a parent of one of the students.The other victims were still being attended to in various hospitals as of posting, De La Salle Lipa said in a statement.<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/tvpatrol/12/03/statement.jpg"/></figure></div>The van was on its way to Batangas City when one of its tires got deflated, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.The administrators of De La Salle Lipa expressed sorrow and grief over the unfortunate incident.&quot;This tragedy has deeply touched the De La Salle Lipa Community and our hearts reach out to the families of the victims as we join them in this time of sorrow and grief.
